With Rick Dobbertin involved it just may come to fruition. Check out the Surface Orbiter he built from an old SS tanker trailer. I think he came pretty close to doing a surface (land / sea) orbit around the world with it. Used hydraulic driven wheels and props for land and water running. Pretty good for a non big corporate sponsored enterprise. He builds some pretty interesting motors too, like dual sequentially supercharged BBC's that actually idle and run. I saw his J2000 with that engine run around the grounds at a show and then get driven on the street to get some ice cream. I'm having enough trouble understanding one supercharger and he figures out how to get two in a row to work.

Rayjay I chopped the URL to get his home site, his stuff is all there. Pretty impressive, I remembered the rover so glad you brought it up.
