83 Hornet II

Looking at a 83 Hornet 21' was wondering the major differances between the hornet and 22 classic. any places to look out for on the hornet hull wise? thanks 454 trs setup

The Hornet III has a much deeper cockpit than the 22 C and is about a foot shorter :rolleyes:
The Hornet also has a wider bow flair, so all of this makes her larger and heavier. This also makes the Hornet a great rough water boat that will keep the occupants dry in some of the nastiest water around.

As for places to check the hull you must check out the transom around every cut and hole drilled!!! Also look at the drain holes cut in the stringers on each side of the engine. In 83 Donzi did not seal any of these areas and you could be looking at some major repairs. Don’t ask me how I know this….
