I am trying to figure out about putting an exhaust diverter system on my '87 Z-21. It currently has straight thru hull exhaust. The engine is a 350 stock with stock exhaust manifolds and risers and a Alpha drive.
I do have a "Y" pipe that I got off of e-bay. However, just looking at the "y" pipe, it looks like the that it might hit the steering rack. So here are the questions.
1: Has anyone done this installation on a Z-21?
2: Does anyone have a Z-21 that has thru-the-prop exhaust?
3: If so, are there specific part numbers on the "Y"?
4: Any input on electric vs. air operated diverts?
Thanks,
DTM
