How and where do I check or change the fluid for the outdrive to tilt it up or down? I have an 87 2+3 350 magnum chevy. Thanks

I think you have the old style pump, look for a big flat head screw toward the top of the lower body which is the reservoir.

I don't quit understand. Can you be more specific. Where would I find this old style pump and what does it look like. Thanks

It is usually on the Stbd side of the engine compartment, stands verticly on a metal bracket. It has two small hydraulic lines attached that go to the transom shield. It will have 3 wires coming from the engine harness to its motor they are red/purple, blue/white and green/white both with a white tracer. It has a solenoid mounted on the oil resivour with the heavier leads in red and black that supply the power. Right next to the solinoid is the fill, a plain screw with a fiber washer under it. The hole is not that big you may want to use a squirt oil can to shoot the fluid in.
