Ok so i try to find a temperature heat switch that mounts on the thermostat housing on my BB 454. My intake manifold is off my old 1987 motor. I'm finding multiple part numbers and do not want to order the wrong part since no one stocks them and requires a week to get.

Under the Audio Warning section it is listed as SENDER ASSY-TEMP part # 48952 for $40.77

Under the WIRING HARNESS, ELECTRICAL AND IGNITION section it is listed as SENDER ASSY 97257A1 1 Supercedes to 806490T for $15.38 and

SENDER ASSY 49734A1 OPT. Supercedes to 49734 for $21.84

So my question is what is the correct part? All three part numbers reference sender unit, but is this not a switch that closes when the temperature hits a certain degree??

Serial number is B606267 and i'm guessing 1/2 in thread since 3/8 seems to small. There are rpm, mph, volt, water temp, oil pressure, trim, volt, hrs, and one more i can't think of.

If you going to look it up by sn# can you check the drive ratio for me. Unable to locate it on the drive. sn# OB614736 and transome sn# OB618171

Thx Marcdups !!

I found the correct switch - went to a few different marine shops and looked at what they had.
