I am not a carb man but
After starting my new 502 for the 1st time last week I had fuel flooding out of the J Tubes. Carb had just been rebuilt and floats were set level (fuel even with bottom of sight plug)
After inspection I found the tangs on the floats that control the float valve were WEAK :banghead:
I could set the floats correctly but fuel pressure would bend the tangs down causing the bowls to flood.
I figure the tangs were weakened from the beating they get in a offfshore boat. :smash:
New floats solved the problem.
I had this problem before with a 1 barrel Rodchester.
