Warby Water Speed Record- update

As many of you know, Ken Warby is preparing to make another assault on the water speed record this fall. He had his boat, the "Aussie Spirit" in the water over easter to do some testing. Made a few passes at over 100, but had some minor handling issues that his team is currently correcting. Should be an exciting fall when he finally winds this thing out.

Had a couple of design problems to overcome,but nothing major. I will be back in OZ for further testing at the end of June.Just taking it one step at a time and in no hurry to kill myself.

The 1978 World Water Speed Record still stands at 317.60 mph / 511.11km/h. Set by Warby.

I watched a really good show about him awhile back, he does this on a shoe string. He had no backing back then used old jet engines etc. I have alway thought the eventual top record would be set by a Hydrofoil with computer controlled surfaces. I wish him God Speed and good luck!
