Has anyone converted over to serpentine on a SBC? Is it worth the investment?
Is ther a HP gain by switching over?
Any information would be great.

Not sure if there is any HP gain would doubt it but what is great about serpentine is longevity and cleanliness. The belts outlast V belts about 5 to 1 and make no mess in the bilge. Another plus is the tensioner, all the accessories are fixed and it keeps the belt at the right tension.

I would like to convert my bigblocks over to serpentine. Are there any conversion kits out there?

I found some kits but its not all that easy. Summit racing and March both have some options.
I was hoping someone has gone thru it and could give me some advice.
This part of the project is on hold. will re visit after we get the boat wet again.
Trueser I think there are advantages if you have the room on the front end. the do take more room, they may yield a tiny bit of HP over a V grove belt. An alternative may be to gather the parts from an automotive setups and have them powder coated.
