2 does anyone have a good inexpensive place they know of?

Scott, I had two repaired on the last boat, left the drive in tact, the welder kept packed ice on the shaft. NO issues.
I too had read that the lower must be gutted..
Just an option that has worked for us.

Scot my welder hangs the drives by the prop shaft and lowers them into a tank of water and welds the skeg. All of the nose cones go on with epoxy, most say the are of no benefit below 80mph. I don't believe that, to me any reduction of resistance helps, also all I have heard is they improve handling and allow higher trim.
