After about 50 odd years of building stuff, that have ranged from 8 foot row boats to 40' sailboats, a bi-plane, and countless small boats, I wanted to show off a pic of what he has just finished. It is quite something. I weighs about 50 pounds, it is covered in Dacron on the outside over Kevlar cross weave, on steam bent white oak frames and an assortment of cedars and exotic hardwoods inside. This he just finished after recently completing a pair of cedar Ocean Kayaks in similar fashion. He just builds this stuff and sells it once he is done. Here's a few pics. :) ...oh, and he is 72.

Very impressive ! It brings back memories of my Father telling me " Teek the deck boy, get it done ! "
The hardwood inlays on the seats are beautiful....
Man, that's a work of art! I see the fruit doesn't fall far from the tree. My dad and I just finished the engine for the Minx together. He turned 77 last Friday.
Len I have been around fellows like your Dad quite a bit in the past. He I give the term Artisan, he is much better than a Craftsman. Beautiful work!
