Have you ever noticed how few hours are on the typical Blackhawk? Do they just scare the average owner so much that they don't take it out? Shows that the the average boater shouldn't have bought it in the first place (what do I know - having never been in one).

I figure it's like evolution. Sooner or later, all the Criterion owners will become too old to enjoy them anymore and hopefully their off-spring are so into new boats, they don't want to deal with history. Then, like these Blackhawks, they'll come available again also. I'm just hoping I'm not to old when it happens. :embarasse

I've got a suggested list spec sheet from the dealer from 96' listing all options freight/PDI and trailer taxes in for 60K..ouch...As far as these babies having low hours...they are a real handful til mastered and yes..I think it freaks the crap out of even the experienced buyer. These boats have a lot of HP with a radical drive and touchy trim positions. Any sudden change to throttle/tabs/leg ...beware..With the built in rocker to the hull..etc you are in orbit..

Personally ..I like a boat that needs a bit of manhandling..especially in rough water...My wife on the other hand just doesn't get it..She'd rather have the cuddy/sink/porta potty...Maybe a 29' Fever is in order when the family grows...but til then..this is one fine boat...
