I got in the mail today the Big Block Chevy Marine Performance book by Dennis Moore today from a seller on ebay. I can only say that if there are any of you guys and gals that know very little about the Chevy motors in your boats you should really pick up this book.
I learned on my 45 minute lunch break many of the differences in the Mark IV and Gen V, VI's - 454's
Looks like my remanufacured long block may indeed be a Gen VI instead of the GEN V i was sold !! Good deal for me - it has roller lifters and 3/8 push rods - it may even be the high performance block. I also learned what i can and can not swap off my Mark IV block.
Oh also I got my aluminum GLM exhaust manifolds and risers yesterday - !!! :)
