Alpha SS impeller

Can someone give me the play by play on changing the impeller on my Alpha SS. Is it the same as a reg. Alpha?

did you get my email from the other day? yes the impeller and housing is the same as the regular ole alpha... if you need some help getting through it i would be glad to assist... it really isn't that difficult.

i changed the impeller, gaskets and housing in my SS last weekend... i should have done the base also but well i didn't have one handy... mine is a bit warped... i picked up a regular alpha gen I rebuild kit because that is what the micro fiche told me to get... and my gearcase is an outboard case.. the SS fiche said the same thing... i do not have the number handy but if you go to mercruiserparts.com you can look it up right there.. the actual online mercury marine micro fiche for anything you will ever need for the sterndrive...

takes longer to split the drive than it does to change the impeller.
