* People in Upstate New York plant gardens.

* Californians shiver uncontrollably.
* People in Upstate New York sunbathe.

* Italian and English cars won't start.
* People in Upstate New York drive with the windows down.

* Distilled water freezes.
* Sacandaga Lake's water gets thicker.

20 above
* Floridians don coats, thermal underwear, gloves and
woolly hats.
* People in Upstate New York throw on a flannel shirt

15 above
* Philadelphia la ndlords finally turn up the heat.
* People in Upstate New York have the last cook-out
before it gets cold.

* People in Miami all die.
* Upstaters lick the flagpole.

20 below
* Californians fly away to Mexico.
* People in Upstate New York get out their winter coats.

* Hollywood disintegrates.
* The Girl Scouts in Upstate NY are selling cookies door
to door.

* Polar bears begin to evacuate the Arctic.
* Upstate Boy Scouts postpone "Winter Survival" classes
until it gets cold enough.

* People in Upstate NY rent some videos.

* Upstaters get frustrated because they can't thaw the
keg.

* Microbial life no longer survives on dairy products.
* Cows in Upstate NY complain about farmers with cold
hands.

scale).

Toona, I'm from upstate (Saratoga) and grew up on the The Great Sacandaga Lake during the summers. That list is too damn funny. All of it true. Although I must admit that my blood has thinned out down here in SE Georgia. Low of 60 tonight..brrrrr :frown:

It's been snowing all day. Forcast reads " Several inches of Lake effect possible " I'm heading for Rensalear Falls in the morning. Spring has sprung ! Toona your list is beautiful ! :beer:

See the photo of of my sea water pump I took Friday. That's my back yard in the background. Maybe that will help till it thaws out.

George, Just got home. Ressalaer Falls @ 10:00 AM 4/5/04...13 degrees. The geese are turning around. :eek!: :eek!:
