Has anyone put a swim platform on one of these? My wife is concerned the grand kids won't be able to get in and out. From what I have read the Blackhawk out drive has a problem with the main shaft If anyone has a broken one I have a machine shop and could make them. Im looking at 2 boats one with the Blackhawk drive [502]and one with a Bravo [454].

Murphy did a damn nice job on his platform, send him a note he can help you out. Pic of his boat below.

Metra...

Not sure if you can fit a platform on a BH boat. The transom is pretty cluttered with the raised X-dim and the K-planes. I am sure you could probably have something custom fabricated, but its going to cost some $$$.

They BH boats are an awesome machine. They take some getting used to, they don't really like to run at anything less than WOT, but what a ride!

The shaft problem isn't really all that bad. I don't think they break all that often. When they do break, they usually take out the case, and those are getting mighty rare.... I think IMCO still has a few vertical shafts left

Metraman, not sure how much you want to spend but I have my Blackhawk for sale. My boat is VERY clean with low hours and a lot of extras.

FULL hydraulic dual ram steering, 280 K planes, extra set of props, custom windshield, sweet stereo, new white faced guages and a few other things.

You can see some pics at:

And the boat looks way better in person!
