This is my first day on the site and it is great!
My question is how do I know if I own an X-18 or a 18 2+3?? I've been told both?

Do you have a picture you could show the members? That will answer your ? real quick. X-18 has a incline slope in the front leading into the cockpit area.

Thanks for the information. It is an X-18. I will post pics asap. It is undergoing complete restoration I have owned it for 5 years now but we had a rough summer together.

Sorry Ed. I did a quick search in the registry and found that picture. Like they say, a picture saves a thousand words. LOL Dax, welcome to the Donzi Registry boards. Can't wait to see your pictures.

Wonder if that's the same boat as this one; just years later?

This is from the "model list" section and I assume from a catalog shot.

The X-18 was made with a raised front deck and a rear spoiler. During testing we've found these changes to add stability at speed's over 80mph.

wink True about stability with the hull, but it is an inverse reaction with regard to the "pilot" wink

dredgeking,
I grew up in Rockport but now work in Austin. I am getting all the work that I can't do myself done in Rockport. I know the people will treat me right in my hometown. Where did you see it in Rockport? Are the pictures posted on this website? If so where? I would like to see them. Anyway, it is almost finished. Only thing left to do is put all finishing touches on !!

Greg,
Thanks for the pics that is it. It has been a hell of a project. We will see it through if it kills us both. John McDavid is my Dad who owns 50% of it. I will post pictures of the entire project once it is finished. It will be an amazing boat. Thanks for the help.
