I am going with roller lifters and rockers, I have both 1.5 and 1.6 Crane rocker sets. I have a few of my circle track buds saying to use 1.5 int and 1.6 ext to help the puny SB exhaust out a little. Anyone have straight poop on how well it works.

MOP, I trust you got some taller valve covers...I'd hate to see the dimples if ya didn't.. :eek!:

the bummer is... taller valve covers are PROBABLY gonna requireing dimpling anyway right next to the exhaust riser  stock height covers are close as it is...

the Comp ROLLER TIPS will clear standard height covers without issue using cool nuts... i managed to fit comp pro mag full rollers under stock height covers also in the past... but that's about it...

Been scoping out tall aluminums. Jamie fill me in on Cool Nuts! Would much rather keep things low and not run manifold spacers.

MOP, On my 70' 454 Chevelle to retain the stock appearance with Crane roller rockers I stacked two valve cover gaskets and it was enough clearance.

I have tall covers on the sbc I just put together. The EMI exhaust did not hit them.
