We are currently undertaking a ground up restoration of a Donzi in S Thailand. The boat is approx 33ft and we think about 11yrs old. It has a serial no. DMRFB164B989.
Does anybody out there know anything about this boat???

Thanks for that Mad Poodle.

We have removed all the stringers and taken the hull back to it's original mold. White ants had eaten all the plywood in the boat.
Going to fit V6 Yamaha 200's (easiest to maintain in Thailand). If you are interested can send you a few more pics of the restoration.

Thanks for the KUDOs MadPoodle, I have suddenly risen to a new status that I didn't know about.

Well, MadPoodle is giving you the straight scoop about chekcing the stingers out. Looks like you have already figured that one out.

Your serial number reads like this: DMRF164B989
Meaning:
Donzi Marine Racing
Fish Boat
It's the 164th boat out of that mold, having nothing to do with the model year. Donzi wanted to know how many boats would the mold build, then they would rebuild the mold itself.
B = Boat actually came out of the mold in Febuary of 1989
89 = it's a 1989 model year boat.

Good luck. Let me know if I can answer a question. Seems that you have this project well under control yourself.

Sorry no pics of the deck removal but it took a week with three people and was a total nightmare. I will post a pic of the deck soon
