As most of you regular readers know, I'm restoring an '86 Minx. I've learned almost everything I know about small trailerable boats from you guys. Including drive showers. In fact one of you posted the Simrek website when I asked what a drive shower was.
Anyway as many of you have probably noticed someone is selling drive showers on eBay for $60.00. Well I like a bargain so I bought one and it arrived today. You'll probably notice it looks very much like a Simrek. I'll let you know how it works.

Looks decent George should do the job just fine. You are right a lot of the NB kits are over priced.

Wow! Now there's a patent infringement if I ever saw one! I'd be surprised if Paul isn't trying to find out who's making and selling those little copies. Anyway, it looks good and I'm sure it will work fine. Did they give you a template on where to drill the holes through the cavitation plate?

Yes they did, Randy. Your thoughts were mine exactly. We'll see what happens.

To all;
This gentleman has been selling these on eBay... I just did a search for Mercruiser. There are usually one or two for sale for Alphas & Bravos, I haven't seen any others. I would prefer to have you email him from eBay, since that is where he is selling from. If he's no longer selling them, then PM me and I'll see if I can find it.

I am using the Simrek on my Bravo XZ drive ,the only difference appears to be the pick-ups.The Simerk is sealed at the bottom to allow water pickup regardless of drive angle,these appear to be open.

Hi Kraven;
If you look closely to the photo showing the bottom i.e. water pickup, these do too.
