Whats a good came to use with a carbed 502 Gen IV ?

I am looking for one that fits the elusive reliability /longevity/performance equation.

I am looking for one that fits the elusive reliability /longevity/performance equation.

I ran a .030 over 502 (509ci) with a Crane Hydro Roller 139731, with a set of GM High Perf Aluminum heads and 9.9:1 compression that made 520 hp/575 ft lbs and ran like a top for 2 seasons and 115 hours. There were 2 GLSCS races and a couple of Poker Runs in there as well. Motor never missed a bear, 220* oil temp and great torque curve. Fantastic midrange. I'd be happy to share the rest of the specs with you, but that was pretty much the basics. I just sold the cam and lifters, sorry. I took it apart to build more power...plus my oil pump pickup broke and I ate up the crank, so while it was out, no way it was going back in with the same power :) ...

Live and learn. It is a great combo though. It would make a 22 Donzi flat scream.

Well...in that case heres some cams to choose from, the yellow cam card is what Im running.about as high a lift that you would want to run with out a roller, runs like a champ, sounds like a funny car :yes:at idle with 108 lobe centers,at 9.75 compression with alum rectanglular port heads, and the old style alum log jet boat with the big risers exhaust. As you can see you need to match up to the heads, compression, springs and exhaust that you have.If all else fails give the tech support guys a call.Hope this helps!
