I posted this boat for a friend about a year ago. He wasn't very motivated last year however he certainly is now!! As far as I know there are only a handfull of these Cigs out there. I only know of three!! This one, a red one that is/was on Thunderboatalley.com, and Cigarette told me George Bush Sr. has one!

1972 24'
Twin Merc straight 6's
Teak inlayed on decks
Trailer

In my honest opinion this boat could hit the water as is. But.....most of us would want to totally restore this thing. The hull seems to be solid. Has been in Cincinnati for at least the last 20 yrs. Supposedly was in the Erie region prior to being here.

Email or call me for additional pics and info.

Great boat. Love the odd size cigs. There is another for sale at Sierra Boats in Tahoe. http://www.sierraboat.com/boats/fiber10/index.htm.

My 24' cigarette from 1972
They know of three in existence

I saw this boat in Palm Beach and it was my dream boat when I was 12-13 years old. I eventually purchased it out of St. Augustine then many years later traded it in on a brand new baby girl.

Oops, sorry Byron, just realized this was a "for sale" thread. Didn't mean to hijack it, just wasn't paying attention. -Mike

EDIT: LOL, and now also just realized it was almost 10 years old...

And Chris, welcome to the board.

Looks like V8 exhausts.

Agreed, the 24 came with 165HP inline sixes or optional smallblocks. Those with sixes have only two exhaust tips and they are shifted off-center.

The cig that George Bush Sr. owned, or owns, is in the Bush Museum in College Station, Texas...

I hope it doesn't get screwed up...these boats are special and need to be restored correctly. I can't save them all or I would...:smash:
