If anyone can recommend a good Marine Surveyor in the Grand Rapids, MI area, please post the contact information here. Thanks.
Randy do a web search for the NAMS or SAMS surveyors sites, they list by area. That will get you to accredited marine surveyors or if you have a yacht broker friend in the area he can steer you to ones he knows. Expect to pay $12-15 per foot, sometimes can be negotiated a bit.

The guy that did my '67 16' five years ago was out of Lansing. I'll hunt up his number and post it tonight. (Whaddya lookin' at...a softer ride for your sore ribs???) :jestera: :jestera:
Hey Ranman, my buddy Spencer is having a Sonic 30SS surveyed TODAY in Benton Harbor, MI by a surveyor named Scott Grabner 269-208-4617. He came highly recommended by Spencer's surveyor from Detroit on his last purchase. Dang boy just can't stop buying Michigan boats!!

Tony your guy was recommended to me years back by a fellow broker in the lakes area, he was touted to be very good and by his monikers accredited which is a big thing with the lenders and insurance companies. There are a bunch of impressive business cards out there with no backing.

Actually, the surveyor is not for me. Good buddy put a deposit on a 1999 Crownline 225. The boat looks absolutly fantastic, but the deal is pending a survey and sea trial. Anyone know anything about Crownline???
As for my health, I'm still very sore, better than the day after the accident, but still sore. The DOcs say it will be months before full range of motion returns. My guess would be similar to when you had your shoulder work done.
Randy I have run into a few Crownline, not top of the line but decent. I say there are no bads boats just bad pricing! If it does what you want and you can sell it for not much lose it was a home run!
I guess we should chip in for a Whoopie Cushion for you
