Since the BH drive pretty much cancells prop torque I am going to use the Merc power steering and a brand new transom assy so all will be tight. I am considering a heavy duty rack setup instead of rotary, has anyone gone this route and what do you guys think is best.

Mop,I like the idea of using BH drive,it should handle like a dream in the choppy stuff, but I think your wrapped around the axle a little with the steering,no way to get rid of the all the play in the gimble and the helm, there has to be some clearance so things move freely,so a little at the helm plus a little at the gimble and before ya know it the outdrive is moving about a 1/2 or more side to side at the prop, the full hydro system does away with these two areas,So no way around it brother, your going to have to fork out the cash if you want tight no hands steering :bawling: :biggrin.:
