I was chatting with the dealer last nite at the show about my search for a 22' Classic. Of course, he had all the right words about why I should spend more for new, such as low depreciation, high demand for the used models, warranty AND the new-style stringers as opposed to the "old" wood ones. I believe he said they made the switch in '01.

His claims: never a chance for rot, reduced flexing as indicated by lack of cockpit stress cracking, reduced vibration due to the foam cores, etc.

He claims that due to demand in our area, guys are getting nearly all their initial money out of their late model 18's. He says the 22's don't turn over like the 18's because of all the 18 guys who want to move up to 22's.

How does this "sales-speak" jibe with y'all's experiences?
