Does anyone know where to get the fiberglass diamond plate used in engine compartments?

:bonk: Some of the colors might have to be painted...but I picked this up here awhile back.

where to get stuff might make a good category for the main page, or some sort of easily accessible thread. Every once in a while threads like this pop up, and even if I am not interested at the moment, I save the link in a file just in case. I bet I am not the only one. I now there is a search function, but one central place might come in handy. Additionally, Harbormaster might be able to pick up a few nickles on the click through, who knows.

If there were some sort of way that each post or listing could have a category, a link, and whomever posted it could give a 50 word or less summary, it might be a useful addition to the site.

just mt $.o2

I'd like to get some diamondplate, myself. But, it's really expensive. What should I be paying for it?

Several of the boats I have sold have aluminum clad fiber glass diamond plate, would like to find a source for that stuff!

Polished Aluminum is NOT real expensive. :banghead: you can purchase it at your local sheet metal shop in 4x8 sheets and most places will cut out a template if you bring them one. I did my eng compartment for under $300.00. I have templates for port/starboard side, back seat and bilge area if you want to try them(1995 22 Classic) :shades: The factory uses fiberglass diamond plate in the 22C so if u want that try Chris Allard(CDMA on this site) at DONZI Marine...Engineering & Design. He should be able to help ya out ;)

Actually the factory makes the diamond plate out of fiberglass. It is available in red or white.

The engine compartment on the 22 is app. 4'5" long.
I priced a 4' x 10' sheet of .065", 3003 alloy aluminum diamond plate for $115 locally.
