Does anyone know if the U19 hull was designed by Don Aronow?

no not really,
the u 19 is a splash( copy) of the 18 classic and the 18 debuted after Don had left donzi
the u boats 17 and 19 were marketed by 4 winns when OMC owned Donzi, chris craft and 4 winns,
i'm sure an argument can be made that Don had a lil to do with all these type boats.
search the u19 I recall some talk about scary ride chine walk

Mike, also note that the U boats have more crown in the decks, and they have radiused the transition from the transom to hull sides. They are not identical boats and the loss of some of this hull bottom at the chine in back might have contributed to a bit of this "chine walk" scenario. Who knows, maybe CDMA does. It is beyond me...

Thanks for the info. guys. I was looking at the attached U19 for sale. Seemed like a decent buy for the money. I had the same motor in a 25'. Always ran great (285 hp)

But, still alot of time before spring....probably should hold out and wait for the right Donzi to come along!!!

I have seen the U-19 Chine walk first hand ,Long before I ever read about it.
I was out out one day with My 20' Cig in the late 90's and a boat pulls up that says u-19 on the side anyhow at about 60 mph or so the thing starts to sway wildly from side to side(Chine walk would be a gross under statement) and it looked like the guy was going to loose it.He slowed down and I neversaw the boat out on the water again.
