Ok, I am tired of sucking out the oil through the dipstick and want to try one of the tubes that you connect to the oil pan. Problem is I do not know what size the threads are in the plug. Is it the 1/2-20 or the metric size? Any help appreciated.

I have been thinking the same way. Here is a link to one - http://www.cpperformance.com/detail.asp?product_id=620-242179

Can you reach the drain plug in the pan to install without pulling the engine? I haven't tried yet but I'm sure it will be a reach.

Can't tell you what thread it is but I can tell you it's a sweet deal. I have one on my sixteen and love it.

i bought one from discount inboard (http://www.skidim.com) . my deep sump is a dimes thickness from the hull, so yes the motor was raised to install the fitting.

it does take a very long time to drain 9 quarts even with the hot oil.

don't hold me to it, but the threads changed in 96 to 12mm.http://www.skidim.com/images/rk024056a_thumbnail.jpg
