The weather finally cooperated on Memorial Day and I was finally able to splash the boat. After a launch snafu that added a nice gouge on my previously unbesmirched rubrail. We had the Donzi blessed.

No, that's not a typographical error. The Donzi, rather the crew of the Donzi, was officially blessed by a man of the cloth.

It has been a Memorial Day tradition at the yacht club, where I keep my Donzi, to form a parade of boats that passes in front of the club to be blessed by a local minister. Afterall, there's nothing like divine intervention to help ward off mechanical gremlins. Plus, how many times to you get to hear a minister say, "Please bless the crew of Hard Candy."
