Key West sounds great to me. Temps dropping fast here. It seems like every weekend for the last month or more they have said we are getting our coldest weather so far this year. Now they say coldest in several years. WTF?

Little Cornwallis Island..Northwest Territores..120 miles south of the magnetic north pole -68F with windchill -81F today.. Spent 3 glorius weeks up there 3 yrs. ago. Saw the Canadian Ice breaker get iced in,and had to wait for the fully laden oil tanker to break the ice for him..In August it gets up to a sweltering 35F. And yes they do have refrigeration up there,8 80 ton units to keep the mine frozen as it costs too much to shore up with timber...Ed

Whenever you guys back east have a bad winter, we on the left coast have a very mild one. And when we have a nasty winter, you guys get nice weather. So, yesterday, here in Oregon, it was 67 degrees and sunny. :) It can get to the mid-70's in March here. Did that during the last big ice storm in North Eastern Canada awhile back.

Is this a trick question?

Formula Jr, where in Oregon are you? I used to live outside of Portland in Gladstone. My cousin just drove from here to there a couple weeks ago.

No, it really works that way. If it sucks in the east, its great here in the Pacific North.

I am just 11 miles east of Springfield, OR.

Ice? Isn't that what you put in the blender?
After a number of years in the northeast and many down here in Texas, I like chipping ice only to fit the blender bowl!!

Boating 11 months each year is nice, so if you need to thaw, come on down for a spin! :D

Ottawa has got to be warmer than Atlanta this morning... and why does the mere fact that I'm snowed in make me panic for a cig worse than ever? My mind thing is a terrible waste... or something like that.

The captain of the Atlanata Thrashers, who used to play for the Ottawa Senators, (hockey teams :D ) was just on the radio giggling that they had closed schools today in Atlanta.
They wanted hockey, they've got hockey weather.
Ottawa -1 F with the wind feels like -21 F.
Atlanta 21 F.

Winterize those boats :D

Hey, ya'll have this nifty thing called salt on your roads... heck, I've even heard rumors of tires made especially for the snow.

And shoes with blades that rest upon the ice... wow, wonder if they'll send us deprived Jawjuns some of those?

Took me 45 minutes to drive 1.8 miles this morning... I'm going to need diapers to make the return trip.
