That car is awesome! I hope that they come up with a cleaner rear bumper though.

I hear that they will be put together at the Wixom Plant. I have a good friend who works there and can't wait to see them start turning them out.

They will be building them in Wixom. Here is a section from the article:

"Production: Between 1,000 and 1,500 GTs will be built each year, beginning in 2004 at Ford's Wixom assembly plant. Three will be completed by next June for Ford's centennial."

saw the motor at Eaton on the dyno a few times testing valvetrain and supercharger stuff... pretty impressive wink

Anyone know if they kept the 40" height of the original? (thats the 40 in GT - 40)

Anyone see what the new GTO's are supposed to look like? :( Take a Grand Prix, and put a V8 in it. If there going to bring back a muscle car, bring it all the way back like how ford has done the GT40 (and will do the mustang for 04).
