Local Forecast for Milford, MI
Today: Variably cloudy with light snow flurries possible. Cold. Wind chills
may approach -25F. High 21F. Winds W at 15 to 25 mph.

"Flurries" here looked like about three inches tonight to me. With the proper equipment selection after great advice from Farmer Tex, Boxy, and Rootsy; Frost loses again!

You have acclimated amazingly fast! That is an awesome John Deere, it should definitely move some snow in a hurry. Watch the wind/visibility when snow blowing...you may want to get yourself some ski goggles. Good news, though, we are only three months away from spring!

Lets talk cold. I wake up this morning to a 9deg (before windchill). Start my truck, from house to driveway and back in (about 15 feet each way) my head was completely frozen. Let truck warm up for 10 min. Go back outside, start on my 20 mile trip to school. TRY to turn on heat all the way. NO, the blower motor fuse just HAD to blow, so I drove there with no heat, hands purple, face numb and I lit a fire with matches to defrost my windshield.

Still only had 2" of snow here so far :D

Trip, nice Deere, I've got his brother tucked away in the garage up here. You'll have to stop by the dealership and pick up one more accessory before summer.

Lawn cutting is measured in beers around here.... :D

Boxy,

------While that accessory might make the job a bit more palatable,I would rather add the ultimate accessory,a human being to do it for me!!!!!!!.........Bill S

Red, if i hired some kid to do it for me, that would be 2 more hours a week I'd have to spend doing other chores....

Another one to taunt Ole Jack Frost.

Awesome toboggan run at Kennsington Park just a few miles from us. Hadn't been on one of these things since we were kids! What a hoot!

Not quite the red bikini team, does red polar parka work, Jefe?

Mark, If I ask you to bring that monster up here to plow snow, we got much bigger problems!

Beautiful piece of machinery. Is that the one that got you all of those frequent flyer miles?

I'll keep it in mind as a reserve!

Jack, you ain't got nothing that we can't handle!

Well Celene, Jill hasn't tried that trick, but us guys, yep! Not quite sure about all that spelling though!

Snowed another foot this week here. Just when I think I'm the big dog on the block with the Deere, my neighbor shows up with a Bulldozer.
Guess there will always be somebody out there with longer boats, faster cars, and bigger snow removal equipment!

Thought some of you might enjoy a few of Jack Frost's specialties from the local ice festival.
Yes, we celebrate the cold here.

you still having fun todd???

a little poem for ya eh ;)

A Poem, by Henry Gibson (of laugh-in fame):
It's winter in Michigan
And the gentle breezes blow,
70 miles per hour at 52 below!
Oh, how I love Michigan
When the snow's up to your butt.
You take a breath of winter air
And your nose, it freezes shut.
Yes, the weather here is wonderful,
So I guess I'll hang around.
But I could never leave Michigan
'Cause I'm frozen to the ground!!!
