If a boat is in a body of water with the ladder down (2 rungs under water). The tide is coming in and raising the water level 12" every 2 hours. The rungs on the ladder are 12" apart. If the boat is in the water with the tide rising for 3 hours, how many rungs will be under water when the 3 hours are up?

The answer depends on whether or not the ladder is attached to a Bayliner. :D

To answer that properly is the boat floating or not?

No Hyper, had not heard before.

M.O.P., I was assuming the boat was floating.

Perhaps, someone could leave the plug out of the Bayliner.

The ladder implies that someone would actually want to board the Bayliner. :D
