I'm doing something different than off the grid. I've installed $18k worth of Solar
PV panels which are wired up to crank out 600 VDC. That is then
feed into a "Sunnyboy" grid intertie converter which then feeds directly into a
240/ 20 amp breaker switch in my main service panel. On sunny days when I
have no loads on in the house, the converter will literally pump current back into
the grid, making my meter spin backwards. Payback on this sytem will be 11 years
and then all the energy it puts out will be free.

You know that you can do that through the phone line on regular energy? Reverse it and have the meter spin backwards to lower the bill? Dont ask me how, I have no idea, read about it somewhere.

If you ran your household electrical current through your phone line you would really lower your bill, because you'd probably burn it to the ground :D :D

Hyper, don't know where you heard that story about the phone lines, but phone
lines are DC except for the ring signal, which is AC. There is no connection
between your phone and your household AC power. The phone company
provides all the power needed to run the phone on the green Ring and red Tip
26 gage phone wire. :)

Build a cute little bird house, install a false bottom to hide the 5 lb. magnet. Install bird house just above the hydro meter.. Magnet pulls the rotating meter wheel up causing friction, this in turn slows down the meter wheel.Or if your backyard is next to a hydro field E-mail me and I will tell you how to get FREE hydro....Ed
