I recently purchased a 1966 18" 2+3 and will need a trailer as the original was in poor condition. I'd like to stay with a galvanized trailer however, I've been told by some that I should ourchase a bunk pad over a roller due to hull support issues. Could anyone offer ideas as to a brand, model that can accomodate this boat?

Also, where could I loate information regarding proper stripe, interior colors? The boat is yellow if that helps. Thanks.

Very happy with the Loadmaster Alum. Trailer I got early this spring for my 22. You can order directly or thru a dealer. I'd recommend the 19-21 tandem model for you. Tale a look at www.loadmastertrailer.com (http://www.loadmastertrailer.com)
Here's a pic of my trailer with some options.

Bunks are the way to go, I like EZ Loader and Load Rite in the galvanized ones. I am sure there are some other good ones. If you decide on getting brakes go for disc's.

Make sure that when you get a bunk trailer it extends to almost the transom. Alot stop way before the transom and the bunks extend out. This does not give the heavy aft end the support that it needs.
