I got up very early today for an early morning run in the Donzi. I threw my camera in the boat "just in case". A sunrise to remember. Enjoy!

Great pictures. What make camera were you using?

A Canon EOS-1D with a circular polarizer filter. The best setup I have ever used for boating photography. Fairly waterproof and has the ability to shoot out of a moving boat due to being able to set your film speed (ISO) high enough to get the right shutter speed. Just remember to try and use a shutter speed of at least 500, to avoid blurry pictures. You will notice that the first photo is very soft and somwhat fuzzy. I used a slow shutterspeed due to the low light available.

In case anybody cares, the "Energizer Bunny Balloon" was pathetic. It never got going.

Fantastic shots, who could ask for a better sky to boat under. Hope those westerlies push them Wisconsin bound. Our ski only had a stealth fighter flying over it today about 750 ft off the deck checking out the LeMans cars flying down the track at about 200 not quite enought to keep up with the stealth thou. What a great day Good to see the rest of the country enjoyed it also.
