Anybody know anything about Yamaha out drives, a Bud has one that looks real good. Is it any good or is it a planter? He is trying to off it.

A freind of mine had one that broke last year. He had a hell of a time trying to get someone to even look at it, and there are a BUNCH of marine mechanics here in the bay area. Finally got one guy to take the job. Claims to have fixed it, got 30 yards from the dock when it puked again. He hire another mech and had it done again. As soon as it was running again, he sold the boat.
