R.K.,
Try using 409 spray cleaner full strength, before resorting to a product called "iron out" or "lime away but
start out with a very weak solution with this stuff.

Mineral spirits on a white rag (old Brooks Brothers undershirts work best) and some grease on your elbow removes most stains from vinyl. If the stain is still there after rubbing, you will need to get used to it.

Assuming your pad is white, a great product to remove stains is Wesleys Whitewall Cleaner. It is a bleach type of product that comes in a pump spray can. It has many applications besides cleaning whitewall tires.

A friend of mine has been using 'Tuff Stuff' on his upholstery for years with good results. I haven't used it on my boat, but it says it is made for fabric, vinyl and carpet.
