We are talking to facilities on the lake that have cabins and will do our cooking for us. They also have trail rides and wagon rides. I need a head count for all who are tenatively interested in attending September 26,27, and 28th.

Here is a map of Possum Kingdom Lake.

Has anyone been able to Contact the local Donzi Dealer. From the Donzi website, it calls out Extreme Marine in Ft. Worth, but I haven't been able to find a website for them. It would be great if they were involved.

I'm thrilled to see this thing take on a life of its own w/o us.

My instincts were right about the cabin. We put it on the market on Saturday and received a contract on it last night!

Proof that PK is one of the nicest lakes in Texas!

You guys will have a blast!

PK lake was looking good, the lake level is almost full. Lots of Donzi boats on the lake for the 4th of July. We had a great time, too much sun and way too much beer wink , but we got to meet Roadtrip SE, Farmer TX and their wives  , great people, can't wait till the round-up.

Just can't do it. Having started her new job, my wife simply won't yet have enough vacation time to allow us to make PK. We will not attend, but will have to wait for the next one. Sorry guys - really wanted to make this one, but we'll have to stick to weekend events within a short drive until next spring!

Ok, We need to get this thing rolling Sept.26-28 is just a little over two months away. With all the checking we have done it looks like Bass Hollow on Possum Kingdom is nice and reasonable.
The place has recently been remodeled and the boat slips redone.
They have rooms, cabins, and mobile homes that
will accommodate anywhere from 2-18 people.

Mark;

Looks like a nice place, made our reservations today :) . Can't wait too see everybody.

Let everyone learn from my smart move last year, If you use the covered boat slips, BE SURE AND COVER YOUR BOAT!!! We cleaned up bug crap for two hours  , what a mess. The lights on the boat slips really attract the bugs.

I forgot to add that beer, wine, wine coolers, and pizza could be bought on site at the general store. There is a liquor store within 1.5 miles of the lodge. Also they have outdoor grills and a large portable grill if we need it. (so Darrell don't forget mile high's steaks)

Darrell

Well everyone, I got my first ride in my new 97 18' classic Saturday afternoon at Lake Lewisville in North Dallas. What a ride it was. Mr. David Dendy took me out for a little one on one training course. Best education that I have received in a while. Learned what happens when you drop a Bennet tab on one side only, when you shouldn't. Learned that this boat lands from wake jumping like a high performance 2 stroke dirt bike, learned that my wrap around sunglasses are going to need to be upgraded so that I can see the water/waves when going over 50 mph. T-Back cove was worth the trip, but unfortunately the local law enforcement showed up in mass, 7 of them, right as we were pulling the boat out of the lake. I am hooked on this boat like none before. I plan on seeing all of you in September, and I hope that the cattle stay well fed until then.

Thanks,

Don

Hey Mark and Polly,

Let start figuring out the grub situation.

I believe Texas tear drops are in order.
Kim and I can bring most anything. Lenny can bring a couple of Bubba kegs.

Also If anyone wants to fly into Dallas/Ft Worth/Houston we can pick you up. The lake is about a 2.5 hour drive from Ft Worth.
We would love to have some of you folks from the east/northern areas.

We really hate leaving Texas, especially PK, the lake house, the 12 month boating season, Mark's cooking, Shiner Bock, the sunsets, and everything else. I would probably just sit there and cry all weekend any way...

Bright side, we can always come back for the next one! You guys have a great time. We'll be with you in spirit as we crush waves on Lake St. Clair!

I'm not so sure about this PK thing now. Scot, Darrell, this is getting a little too wierd for me. I don't know if I want Jefe's REVENGE in the same water as a bayliner. I get a chill just thinking about it.

Remember guys when going thur Graham on 16 you will need to take FM 1287 at the point where you get to the "Y" in the road. This is the last time you can get from the eastside of PK to the westside without going all the way around the south end.

I have been to Bass Hollow a couple of times call me on my cell if you need directions 580-471-2681

P.S. If anyone is not clear on where Bass Hollow is, look at the map that Scot posted on page one.
See the star where the Westside Welcome center is, just continue @ 2 miles and you will be at Bass Hollow.
