Owen, we talked about this...Pictures don't work in a place like this,..as you said...and I agree. It's just food for the MIND. It fills you, lets you feel good inside, think that this world is still a great place, and lets you go home (if you're careful) with a sense of "being". Thanks for taking 6 days out of your life and joining me here in this "celebration" if you might, of a fantastic place and people. You're WELCOME again and I am quite sure it won't be tough to "draw you in"

Cheers Everyone!

LENNY

Oh, and once again, thanks for letting me run the *iss out of the FJ again!

This was fun... :)

...some more clips...

Owen being allowed into the Country...

The lovely Georgina, worlds largest sloop, 157' and fully automated...
http://www.donzi.net/photos/lgreen68.jpg

Then the "ATTESSA", c/w Chopper, 117', owned I believe by the CEO/owner of Bayliner...
http://www.donzi.net/photos/lgreen62.jpg

One of the views EVERYDAY here, this one southeast...that's Mt. Baker.
http://www.donzi.net/photos/lgreen60.jpg

Celene, Henry was around but since he was busy modifying some of Owens "belongings" I think he had to stay behind on this one,...this is personal belongings "getting washed" at speed
http://www.donzi.net/photos/lgreen65.jpg

How we started everyday, the view in the bay heading down the dock. Yes, that is Owen meandering down
http://www.donzi.net/photos/lgreen70.jpg

One of the interesting locally built boats we showed interest in...A 27' Kavalk (now Kazulin), twin 7.4 MAG'S, Bravos and about 70 MPH. Only 20 made. Check out their 19' footer. Looks familiar doesn't it? http://www.kazulinboats.com/specpages/new19/photo19.html

The Formula Jr. at the dock

Yes, again we ate well

Not everyone liked going fast,...actually just kidding, he loved it!
http://www.donzi.net/photos/lgreen71.jpg

A pic of the gang on Pender Island having a "few", left to right are Kelly, Lenny, Jane, Larry, Paul and Owen. Missing from this pic is Robyn, (Paul's wife)
http://www.donzi.net/photos/lgreen61.jpg

We ran into one of the "locals", actually he was with us :)
http://www.donzi.net/photos/lgreen63.jpg

...and last but not least, this is the FIRST Donzi I have EVER seen here and was blown away. Then upon "closer" inspection, it turned out to be the tender for "Bravado" in front, from London, England. So now we are back to there being none here again

..and on a parting note, this pic is "Owens' attempt" to claim this place as his own (the marker/stake) but a couple hundred years late...

Wow...I go down to the land of SEADOGS for a week and this shows up!! Very impressive.....

We have been joking about moving down to Florida after the Vacation, but between the SPS run, and these pics....maybe there's a little bit more of my own neighborhood to explore yet...

...and we, and we, and we, and we,...

had 4 days without a cloud in the sky, was about 82 degrees all week, went by Bill Gardens place, saw some of the B. Gates stuff, went to Victoria by boat, crossed the Georgia Strait to Vancouver by boat, went to about 4 pubs on the water, went through about 30 Islands, went into 4' seas, standing waves, whirlpools, chop, huge rollers, dead calm seas, and 10 knot tides. Saw dolphins, chased freighters, dodged hundreds of ferries, went into dozens of harbours under bridges by water and found "nude" beaches. Traced out my "youth", flew the hull to insane heights in the Georgia Strait and bought smokes in tiny harbours. Met people from ALL OVER THE WORLD and they all moved here. Played golf, skipped stones, swam dogs and suntanned on white sand beaches.

...it was okay... wink

...oh yeh,..how could I forget that?
..and caught crabs (crab), jigged for cod, talked to seals and "gunkholed" for half a day in Wonderful spots, and basically thought about why it is that we even work,... and not just sell everything, buy a 20' sailboat, moor it for free, and then spend the REST of our lives living free, with no encumberances...

...haven't answered that one yet...

Had you been thoughtful you would have recorded the Active Pass daymarkers for posterity, and published same as a "Notice to Mariners"!
Good pics....was that Montague Hbr where you were dragging your "laundry"?Victoria Lager laundry?
Re:living on anchor sure sounds good......but ya still gotta get groceries, haul the resulting garbage back in, and pee Henry.
Wish I could have made that trip! You really got da weather!
