None that I have found, and you can believe I've looked. Harbormaster is making noises about getting a Formula, so who knows, maybe we will have Formula.net. wink :) I don't have the puter skills to run one, or I'd consider it.

If HM is SERIOUS about a Formula, your boat is absolutely the best buy I have seen in years, for whats offered..
I have had 2 older Formula's, I luv 'em, I got backdoored on a 1995 271 SR1 about 3 years ago with a 502-415. Cool boat. Later 80's, early 90's 270 series with twin small blocks are the bomb..

I'm sure you all have checked: www.formulaboats.com (http://www.formulaboats.com) There is an owners section there that lists gatherings and such.

Yes, I've been there (today as a matter of fact). They update the owner's stories about once a year. Nothing in real time.

That's the best thing on Formula's site, the gear. We have boughten several items from there. shirts, hats, key chains, coolies, license plate holders and coolers. I think I'm going to have to spring for the flag, so I can post some on the D girls thread. :)

tell me ALL the positive's and negative's about them pleeze.

thanx, JIm

I haven't seen a lot of 272's with small blocks. They are a heavy boat and need all the power they can muster. Do you have any links to the one's you are looking at?

I'll try and email you links directly.

I just looked at the 272's on Boat Trader. I saw a couple with twin sbc's. Do you know if they came with alpha's, bravo's, or TRS's? Keep in mind I have a 242 for sale for less than half of any of them on BT, with 1999 350's, FWC, with about 75 hours on them. :) The only difference I've been able to tell is that they added the swim platform length to them. From looking at some pics, the seats in the cabin may be a few inches wider.

I am told they were all std rotation Alpha's if they were SBC hulls in that era..

I am not looking for all out speed, just cruising comfort.

The bbc hulls are more popular for sure, but I can live with it.
