".....MORE ELEGANT THAN A DONZI..." ? ? :D

My brother had one of these until recently.. and it was immaculate..repowered etc.. and it never got the attention that the old St Tropez did ! :p

(What is a Volvo Penta vee drive ?)

Last year at the "Keels and Wheels" Concours in Clear Lake, there were four of these tied up at the dock. When Krakmeup and I idled past in our 18's, everyone stopped loking at the CC's and started hoofing it down the dock to see our boats! He he!!

Folks were hollering questions at us, "What year, engine, etc?" Even the Chris Craft guys were gawking!

The XK-19 is a beautiful boat, though. To my eyes, it's a little busy with the windshield, BIG horn, air intakes everywhere. But rare and beautiful nonetheless.

Volvo had ther own inboard tranny a re-housed upper gear set and also used Borg units, a few V drives were offered.

There they go, using the Donzi as the Gold Standard again. :)

86 made since 1969...when did they stop production?? 86 is not Rare. How many 14 Babys do you think Donzi made?? Or Bench seat Hornets? Or Criterion II's.....Even the 28 Sportsman!

Hummmmmmmmmmm

Scott- Perhaps you misunderstood... What's rare are the number of people who actually believe this is a more elegant boat than a Donzi. :D

Not a Donzi, But still a cool old boat that you don't see everyday.
