Congratulations Cuda ! Any details, or are we supposed to be able to figure it out by the wake?

Looking forward to the water being a little more liquid-like here in Michigan.

Does that fall into the "barely legal" catagory? They look amazing on land, how fast does it go in the water?? :D

There is a gorgeous white Formula here on Grand with the twin Kaama’s; Similar color scheme to Betty Cooks Kaama race boat. Haven’t seen it run in years; just sits on its lift collecting spider webs…

Cool  boat, Cuda. Congratulations!

Yes, it is a 302 Formula with Kaama drives. We took it out for the sea trial yesterday, and this thing rocks! We didn't wring it out, but the speedo was on the happy side of 70. The previous owner claims 78.6 on gps.

Cuda, that is one awesome Formula, but your signature makes me think you've changed your thoughts? It might not be 40 feet long, but believe me, the suitcase will definitely not be as full anymore! Good luck with her!

That's a fact Scott. Pretty much emptied the suitcase. I actually got what I feel was a great deal on it, but the care and feeding of the twin BBC's will lengthen the amount of time to refill the suitcase. :)

Toona, consider this an open invitation for a ride anytime you are down this way. Didn't you use to live in this area?

Can we say roadtrip?

Born in St. Pete, did time in Plant City and Tarpon Springs... hoping to get down there this fall.

I'd be thrilled to take you up on your kind offer... but I think I'll leave that particular seat to the captain!

Bunches,

I remember that boat....It was old man Huber's from Huber marina in St.pete. Before that....the owner of Formula had it built for his son. I know that boat VERY well! Chris Itoh (pronounced eetow) built the Yellow engines in it. Its a good boat :D
Congrats....

Yep Ted, that's the one! It sat in Huber for 15 years, I guess he was a Formula dealer at one point. The boat had never been titled until the guy I bought it from got it. It had 42 hours on it at the time.

Cuda,

I bought a Formula rom the Huber's during that time. Mr. Huber had this boat; but, never used it. It must be in nice shape.

Cuda-

Congrats on the sweet new toy! Looks like she's in great shape and has seen a pampered life thus far. If I'm not mistaken they no longer manufacture Kaama surface drives. Can you still find parts for Kaama drives? Have fun with the Formula!

Cuda, Congrats on the buy. I worked a Hubers as a kid and in the matter of a year I saw the boat out one time. Great looking boat. Enjoy the hell out of it. After all the years it set there, it certainly needs some good abuse......it shouldn't be hard to find a Donzi girl to take a pic with that boat.
