I don't know if this qualifies as a performance boat, but since there have been references to Invaders in several threads, I'll post this anyway. Following are some pictures of a boat I just bought from a guy in Montana. I am actually in the process of restoring an Invader I have had since the early seventies for my children to use, and this one popped up and I decided to go for it.

Fun boat, having worked for a GW dealer for many years we had a few of these in our area. The 30 will push it pretty nice, might want to move the motor up a hole maybe even 2. Its like an early Mini Hawk. We had one guy put one of the two cylinder 60's on one ran it a few times and took it back off was to squirilly. Like all especially older GW's its built quite well. Send the foram a picture of you kid smiling at the dock.

Coooool !!! We had one of these for a summer (a guy let us use it) when I was about 10 (let's see that's about 30 yrs ago -- whoa!) It had a 25 Johnson and was soooo much fun. I saw one for sale not too long ago in a trader. Also, coincidentally, just saw a web site that had some pics from a guy who (when you was younger) had 1, his brother had one and 2 freinds had them. So they had pics of 4 of them running around. At one time his brother put a 60 hp Merc. on it -- He had a picture of this set up running fast and flying-- looked scary!! Ah the memories. My Dad could have bought that little boat years ago for I think $500.00 with the Johnson 25 (about a 1972). Bummer -- what fun they were!
