Chris,
Have you checked with this Ebayer from NY, if he doesn't have it listed then he will soon. He has every style you could ever want.

Chris,
Just to give you an idea I bought a set of these old Chevy valve covers off of Ebay about a month ago to have them painted the blue Merc HP500 color and the lettering maybe the same gray or maybe the brite yellow that my engine is. For $12 for a pair of perfect 35-year-old V-covers I couldn't turn it down, the only thing is I need the converter plate that allows you to put the older style valve covers on the new vortec heads.

Again, just a thought,

James,
Just keep a look out on Ebay for a week or so and you can find a decent pair for a sweet price. What you need to find is a pair that has the evenly spaced 4-bolt setup, the earlier ones are offset so the conversion bracket will not line up with them. The bracket can also be found on Ebay from a guy that has made them for a while that are brand new for only $70 or so not $130 from GM.

Here is a picture of my actual valve covers (total cost was $12.94 :D ) that are metal with just one slight ding in it that will be no trouble to take out:

You can actually see the difference in these two pictures that I have below on how the older valve covers do not line up and the later 60's ones do line up:

I have a pair of aluminum covers with the ribs that are like the corvette covers. These are polished w/orange in the valleys of the ribs. They are from a 1971 motor. I have no use for them. Off of a 1971 sdx235 OMC. Good condition.
I do not have a digital camera available for pics.

yep looped i understand all about the earlier valve covers with the offset bolting pattern... no biggie we can make anything work wink
i've never used ebay much but i think i need to begin to eh!!! thanks for the tip

as for the vette finned valve covers i'd like a pair that have corvette cast into them... mid 60's or older style... i am surprised no one is reproducing these yet...

Chris, I have a set of aluminum finned valve covers GM part # 1402553&4 brand new in the box. There is the corvette flags on one and the oil fill cap on the other. They are the short style covers. They were $109 when I bought them, make me an offer. Eddie.
