Jim,
I am restoring an 18' '68 2+3, but I have too many irons in the fire. It has; freshly rebuilt 351W-300hp, 280Volvo with 250 bottom to achieve 1.63 final drive, new motor mounts, and 1 yr old Nordskog gauges.
The original gel has been covered with some type of built up epoxy, greenish color, to about 1/16-1/8 thick. and then two coats of paint over top. The epoxy has many stress cracks that go all the way to the glass. I am digging them out with a grinder and filling them with Marine-tex. I have half of the hull sanded and ready for filling. Other than the cracks, the hull and deck are very structurely sound.
I have over $7800 invested in the boat, but I could sell the boat and trailer for $7000.
Let me know what you think.
Mike

Jim, I have a 67 Donzi 18 2+3 for sale but I have completely restored the boat several years back. The hull has not been modified except for the hooks being removed before I bought the boat. There is an ad for the boat in the for sale listings. If your interested let me know. I'm not too far away in N.J. Eddie.
