I know I posted this before, But I fear It's lost forever.
I,m looking to find a 1968-1970 24' Bertram Baron. The front deck pops up like a camper(hence it's nickname the camper top) Only 47 of these works of art were ever built so any help and I would be eternally gratefull. Thanks in advance for the help.

Sounds interesting, do you have a picture of this boat?

Can you e-mail a pic to me??

I have seen what may be the boat you are describing. It was parked in a front yard way out on LI and I noticed it as it looked like a high gunnel clean looking deep V 1960's boat but was obviously unused for a year or three yet there was no for sale sign. It was blue gelcoat sides, white deck with a strange looking foredeck that could have been a pop up camper. It almost looked like a home made camper.

Send me a pic and next time I'm in that area (about 5 weeks) I'll go look. If you prefer, send me an e-mail and I will try to give my memory of how to get there...

Actually the boat doesn't have very much freeboard at all, unless it looks bigger out of the water. I am absolutely interested in seeing this boat on L.I. I'm not the far myself(CT) but It would be great if you could be my eyes Chris. Kenn where in L.I. ? could you E-mail me with the

Owen,

I think you are mistaking Bertak for Bertram Nautec. From 1964 to somewhere in the early 70s, Bertram was owned by the Nautec Corporation. But apparently no longer exists.

Scott,
That would be great. I would love to to see those pics when you get a chance, But I would really be pleased if the owner didn't have time for it any more and wanted to sell !!!!! Thanks for the tip.

Owen,

Is that your Bertram in the picture? I just saw that boat in the exact same spot two weeks ago in a state of disrepair. I was waiting for a ferry back to St. Thomas and for about half an hour I watched this fellow fight with one of the engines. The windshield is cracked and the gelcoat is beaten to all oblivion but it looks mostly there.
