Volvo 280T Rams

I need a pair of tilt rams for a Volvo 280.

Common, can't anyone suggest a supplier for older Volvo stuff, I need to find the entire tilt system, back to the pump. Thanks

Hopefully, later this winter, I will have both of the 280T drives and transom assemblys removed from my Magnum and up for sale. Everything but the pumps, but any Merc trim pump will work. Trying to find time to do the job has been difficult with remodeling both houses and moving being the priority.

Actually, now that I think of it, I will only have one drive/transom assembly for sale since Emmo has already spoken for the other.

OK sorry "T". Forest, are you willing to part that out? The rest of my OD is fine, if so think they will be available in January?

Probably not by January, but I'll work on finding the time to at least pull the motors a transom assemblys in the next month or two. My guess is that the drive and transom assembly will go for about $1200 plus shipping. The best thing to do is to get the whole works and sell off what you don't want.

With the prices that I am finding for new rams alone I might as well go for the whole thing, Forest, how do I know that I won't end up with the same problem (ram seals)? How old are your parts?

I see a lot of "88"s and "87"s cast on many of the parts on the gimble, so my guess it that these drives have been in service since 1989.

I've never checked, but aren't the seals replacable in those rams?
