These should look familiar to the 16', 18', and some 22' owners. These are very high quality, you won't find them in the catalogs.

Pedestal:
9 1/4" Base Diameter
2 7/8" Diameter Riser
4 1/2" Height
8 1/4" Diameter Bolt Pattern
(6) 5/16" Bolt Holes

Slider Assembly:
5" Fore and Aft Travel
360 Degree Rotation
8 1/2" x 10 3/4" Bolt Pattern
5 3/4" Overall Height Mounted on Pedestal
(4) 1/2 Diameter Bolt Holes

Sliders are $95.00 each, pedestal's are $35.00 each. Buy both for $121.20, prices do not include freight.

Do these replace the stock seat brackets on all 18s?

Do they also swivel? That is what I am interested in.

Does it raise the seat height any, from the stock height, that is?

Cheers,
George

The pedestal and slider are excellent replacements for the 16 and 18. Positive ratchet action for fore and aft sliding, and yes they do swivel. Overall height is the same as stock.

Does the slider fit on the stock classic 18 pedestal (I have a '93) or do I need to replace the pedestal as well?

The sliders will fit your original pedestals, you will probably need to modify the bolt pattern on your buckets to attach the slider, no big deal. For sliders that mount directly to the fiberglass base as in most 22 Classics try Springfield Marine
(http://www.springfieldgrp.com) for current replacements.

Hi, I have an '83 22' classic with the fiberglass pylons for the seats. It appears the previous^2 owner destroyed the sliders on the seats enough that they are now welded down. I'd really like to replace them with swivel sliders, but I definitely don't want to increase the ride height.

The previous post suggests springfield marine for the swivel sliders. I wondered if anyone knew more about these to decide if they'd do what I'm after, without sacrificing ride height? For example, they show a heavy duty slide/swivel that look great, but they list no dimensions other than travel. Has anyone done this? If so, what have you used?

Would it be feasible to try to retrofit the cockpit of my boat with the stainless tube pedestal style seats? Sound like quite a job to me, so the new slider approach seems better, but just wondering what folks thought.

Thanks!

I bought that set you see in the picture from Bob. He might have more, don't know. E-mail him.

Hi Don,
I have a set (Pro SX-1100300) a customer sent in, MOP's third link will display them. These came in with a swivel base that add's 1" to ride height, non-swivel base height is 2". I thought they came from Springfield Group but they have a made in China label on them! Here is another link to Springfield showing the sliders Springfield Trac Lok II (http://springfieldgrp.com/products.php?subcat1=other slides/swivels&varmaincat=slides and swivels)
Cutting out the cast risers doesn't sound like much fun.

So does anyone know what springfield swivel will work with the fiberglass pylon in the 80's 22 classics? I don't mind re-drilling holes, and I can handle a 1 inch increase in height. I think the ability to rotate the front seats around would be really cool for hanging out at the beach. Has anyone done this before?

Besides, my stock ones have broken plastic handles and are really stiff to move forward and aft.

Check my link for Springfield, they show one has 12 position rotation, it will add height.
I don't sell them, check the catalog outfits.
