Who would have thunk that they made such a thing! But here it is, the official Volvo-Penta Ultra Prop Propeller Cone. P/N 854232-6. It's different than a standard Volvo prop cone. Besides being made of machined cast stainless steel, it is designed to clamp the prop on the hub and not the prop's body like the standard aluminum Volvo prop cone does. That way the prop doesn't try to loosen the prop cone, casuing yet another Ultra prop burial at sea. Anyway, these things are still available from Volvo-Penta but I was taken back when I checked the list price. List is $174.41. Ouch! Are they for real? Just so happens that I have one in my tool box that I can't use that I will sell for a more reasonable, 65.00 plus shipping. It's like brand new.
