At the risk of sounding stupid... what the hell is Flo torque II Hub???????

Bud,

the flo-torque II hub is the hub system mercury's props utilize these days. instead of a permenant pressed in hub you have a plastic square that slips in from behind, a thrust washer against it and then from the front you have a unique castle / spline piece that slips into the square plastic.. you then tighten it down with your nut / lock washer.

the beneficial thing about this system is that you can install, say a, flo-torque II hub for an OMC shaft into a merc prop, etc...

lastly, if oyu are exceeding 400 hp they recommend the solid bronze hub which replaces the plastic piece... bout 50 more bucks.
